Drainage Fee Begins in February

A new fee adopted in November by the Richardson City Council will appear in February water bills. The residential fee of $3.75 per month per household will be used for the Drainage Utility System as adopted by the Richardson City Council in November. The non-residential rate is $0.105 per 100 square feet of impervious area per month, with a minimum charge of $3.75. The Drainage Utility System will allow the City to continue to sustain its environmental and regulatory obligations for storm water management and enhance its annual maintenance and capital work plan.

February is a great time to gear up for Spring planting!

Treat your special Valentine this year with fresh, living flowers. America’s favorite flower, the Rose, can be planted and enjoyed all year. Cool season flowers such as Pansies, Primrose or Cyclamen can also be planted in containers to give a burst of color to your landscape, patio or garden. And don’t forget about indoor plants. Indoor houseplants can beautify your home and purify the air. Gloves, tools, wind chimes also make great gifts. The list is endless, let your imagination “grow green” as your peruse your local garden center!

Just a Reminder--If you haven't RSVP'd to the Evite for the Reso-luncheon on Saturday, January 21, 1:00-2:30 p.m. at the "Y" , please do so on this site or call (972-238-9277).  The Social Committee has a fabulous lunch planned for you!  It will be an opportunity to visit with your neighbors who volunteer on various committees of GHNA.  You may even find a group that you would like to join.

Greenwood Hills Elem. is having their annual Science Fair and need judges on Wednesday, January 25 (9:00 - 3:00)-- It does not take all day to judge though!  Contact Ms. London at the school (469-593-6125) if interested.
